From teenage years I’ve written solo songs, TV soundtracks,
songs for musicals, piano improvisations and choral pieces.
Mark Warman, West End MD and orchestrator, conducted and co-produced the album. Popular tracks included on the album are This Night, I Am Tired and Urban Mass.
My other albums are Sometimes the Sun, (1997) with lyrics by Simon Parke and David Adam (Celtic prayers), Improvisations - solo piano and Behind Us! - hits from community musicals. All can be purchased here and except for Behind Us! are also available digitally on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, etc.
Angela has been making music since starting piano lessons at age 8 while living in Zimbabwe. Back in the UK, as a teenage guitarist in the 1960s she performed in a folk duo with her sister, Meriel. After studying music at Birmingham University, she worked in TV and video as a writer, producer, director, editor and composer.
Since 2000 she has divided her time between working as a choral and instrumental composer, songwriter, vocal arranger, singing leader, conductor, pianist, guitarist, music director, music therapist and writer. She leads a number of community singing groups and choirs for health, well-being and the enjoyment of group singing, and works in a wide range of musical genres. Angela is also an HCPC registered music therapist.
Angela has released four albums of her own music: Sometimes the Sun (1997), Improvisations - solo piano (2012) and Behind Us! (2002) - songs from community musicals. Most recently she has released Music To Mend The Heart (2019), an album of choral music composed over the last thirty years.
